OPEN AIR PISTOL 400 MATCHES

This event will be conducted using NRA/USAS rules.

May 2007

WHAT: This event is an "OPEN, Air Pistol Postal Match" sponsored by H&H Precision Shooters, Inc. of Oklahoma City, OK.

Shooters will

acquire the appropriate targets,

shoot the targets at the specified distance in front of a witness on their home range,

fire 40 shots within the prescribe 1 hr. 15 min.

number, score and sign each target along with the witness

mail the targets along with the entry fee and entry form to H&HPSI.

enter only one H&HPSI Postal Match per month.

H&HPSI will:

review the targets, determine the winners and prize winners who will be announced and prizes awarded by the 15^th of the month following the month of the match.

Only one classification will be utilized with all shooters competing in one category or classification.

WHEN: This postal match will run from May 1, 2007 until May 31, 2007. Scores will be posted and winners announced via web site by June 15, 2007

MATCH FEES: $20.00

CLASSIFICATION: The only classification for this match is OPEN.

RULES: Current USA Shooting Rules will govern.

1. USA Shooting rules will apply.

2. Shooters may use their own home range.

3. Each registered competitor must use NRA/USAS approved B-40 or B-40/4 targets.

4. A maximum of 5 shots per target.

5. This is a 40 shot match.

6. Targets must be numbered and fired in the numbered order.

7. Targets must be scored in accordance with NRA/USAS International Style Pistol Rules, the scores listed on each target and signed by the shooter and the witness.

8. The witness must be a member of USAS or NRA.

9. The shooter is encouraged but not required to be a member of either organization.

10. Targets, entry form and entry fee must be postmarked before midnight May 31, 2007.

11. Targets will not be returned.

12. As this is an OPEN match.

13. All match scores will be ranked from highest to lowest regardless of age, gender or classification.

14. Only one entry per competitor per month will be allowed.

15. Scores will be posted and winners announced on the H&HPSI Web Site: www.hhpsi.org.

a) 10 m Air Pistol Grips: No part of the grip, frame or accessories may touch any part of the wrist. The heel rest must extend at an angle of not less than 90 degrees to the grip. This applies to the heel rest in front and behind the grip as well as on the sides. Any upward curvature of the heel and/or thumb rest and/or a downward curvature of the side opposite the thumb is prohibited. The thumb rest must allow free upward movement of the thumb. The grip must not encircle the hand. Curved surfaces on the grips or frame, including the heel and/or thumb rest, in the longitudinal direction of the pistol are permitted.
c) The weight of the pistol is measured with all accessories, including balancing weights and unloaded magazine.
d) Measuring Box: The pistol is measured with all accessories in place.

SIGHTS: Only open sights are allowed. Optical, mirror, telescope, laser-beam, electronically projected dot sights etc., are prohibited. Any aiming device programmed to activate the firing mechanism is prohibited. No protective covering is permitted on front or rear open sights. Correcting lenses and/or filters must not be attached to the pistol. Correction glasses and/or filters may be worn by the shooter.

Spotting Scopes – The use of a telescope with the necessary stand to visually locate shot holes on targets is permitted.

DISTANCE: Men Air Pistol 10 Meters

TARGETS: As Specified in 6.3.2.6 10 Meter Air Pistol Target a B-40 or a B-40/4 target may be used with a maximum of 5 shots per target. Shooters are responsible for securing their own targets.

TIES: All ties will be broken in accordance with USA Shooting Rules.

RESULTS: Targets will be scored and individual scores posted on the web site www.hhpsi.org by the 15^th of the month following the month of the match. Awards will be mailed to winners immediately thereafter.

The "median place winner" is the shooter whose score is closest to but not over the median aggregate score of all shooters in the match.

Although no classification for age is included in the match, some prizes may not be sold or awarded to persons under 18; therefore, the shooter’s age is required on the entry form. If this restriction should apply to a prize winner a substitute prize of equal value will be awarded.
